Salome Zwicky
was born and grew up in Zurich, where she studied medical science after the matura. Currently she works in her clinical practice for ear, nose and throat medicine and phoniatry (voice and speech disorders) in Schlieren near Zurich. In this connection she deals with problems and diseases of the singing voice. During many years she received singing lessons from Helen Haefeli and since 2001 from Andri Calonder.
She gives concerts mainly with sacred music in Switzerland and in several European countries with musical works like Saint-John-Passion, Christmas Oratorio, cantatas by J.S. Bach. In sommer 2008 she sang the "Stabat Mater" by Pergolesi which was her first performance in the cathedral of Koszalin (Poland). This work was recorded (together with Anna Schaffner and the Ensemble La Partita) in 2005. A second CD with "Stabat Mater" of Luigi Boccherini and Pergolesi's "Salve Regina" as released in the beginning of 2016.
