Emanuele Jannibelli, Organ
Emanuele Jannibelli was born in Horgen on the banks of Lake Zurich as the son of italian parents. He was trained as an organist by Jakob Wittwer, Prof. Rudolf Meyer (Concert Examination with Honors 1993), Prof. Ludger Lohmann, Stuttgart, and Marie-Louise Langlais, Paris; as a pianist by Boris Mersson and Katharina Auf der Maur. He is particularly enamored of the French organ music, for which he has attended numerous master classes with Guy Bovet and Marie-Claire Alain, among others. A further emphasis is the cooperation with respected choirs at home and abroad as well as the propagation of contemporary music including numerous premieres. Beside his intensive concertizing he is organist of the City Church in Glarus, teaches at the Music Conservatory of Winterthur/Zurich, and is editor of the periodical "Musik und Gottesdienst".
